The Middle East Convert Locked in a Tomb for Turning to Christ

Wahid was persecuted by his family to the point of mental instability, but he still seeks Christ. A former Muslim, Wahid had a cousin who became a follower of Christ. His cousin shared the gospel with him, when he heard the gospel, Wahid became convinced of its truth and placed his trust in Christ. But when Wahid’s family discovered his conversion, they locked him inside an unused tomb. As a result, Wahid lost his sanity. When they let him out, they forced him to deny Christ, which he did. Afterwards, Wahid fell into a coma-like state, but it is reported that he speaks aloud occasionally. Christian friends have heard him ask the Lord Jesus to speak to him and place him back on the right track.

• Pray that the Lord will speak to his heart and help him fully renew his commitment to Christ.

• Pray that Wahid will be able to have Christian fellowship and grow in his faith, which was severely tested soon after he became a Christian.
