On October 23, gunmen opened fire during a funeral at a church in Jordan. Nine people were killed, and 40 others were injured, 27 seriously. Authorities have launched an investigation, and the circumstances surrounding the attack remain under investigation. Footage on Jordanian state television shows three men with pistols and a semi-automatic rifle fired at the church. King Abdullah II stated that Jordan “will confront the terrorist act with the harshest penalties” and offered his “deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, and our wishes for recovery to the wounded.”
Please pray…
Pray that the Lord will comfort the families of those who were killed and wounded.
Pray that the Lord will heal those who are still receiving treatment in the hospital.
Praise the Lord for the response of Jordan’s king.
Pray that the Jordanian authorities be able to arrest this armed group and bring them to justice.
