Lebanon Druze Converts Attacked, Child Hospitalized

Members of the Druze community attacked a Lebanese Druze family that had become followers of Christ. The beating was severe enough that the couple’s young son was hospitalized and they had to flee their home. A friend had to find them and take them into hiding for their protection. The Druze are a Middle Eastern people group who follow a unique religion with roots in Islam and mysticism. If a Druze person converts to Christianity, he or she may be met with hostility and violence from the Druze community. Converts can lose everything — family, jobs, inheritance.

• Pray that they will be able to find a safe place to live and work.

• Pray that the Lord will draw more and more Druze to Himself.
