Six Kenyan merchants were killed by suspected militants from the Islamic extremist Al Shabaab on March 29 for spreading Christianity. The six secret Christians had been selling plastic utensils and other household goods to support their families, but also sharing the love of Jesus Christ to the Muslims. Converts from Islam had grown concerned over complaints that the six Christians were praying in Christ’s name with Muslim neighbors and worshiping too loudly. The six men were shot to death at close range, and their shops were set on fire after they were killed. Somalia is ranked 2nd on the 2024 World Watch List of the 50 countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian.

Please pray…

  • Pray that the Lord will comfort the families of the six men who were killed.

  • Pray that the Lord will provide for the material needs of these families.

  • Pray for the Muslim converts in that region, that they will remain faithful to Christ despite the persecution.
