Pakistan Christian Girl Kidnapped for Two Years Escapes

A Christian girl who this month escaped the Muslim who kidnapped her said he forcibly converted her to Islam and repeatedly sexually assaulted her as his “wife.” Muskan Liaqat was 14 years old when she was kidnapped at gunpoint from her home. She was taken to Muhammad Adnan’s home, tortured and raped. Her thumbprint was forcibly put on some documents and used to tell a court she had converted to Islam and married Adnan. She was raped and beaten with an iron rod almost daily. She became pregnant in 2024 but had a miscarriage as a result of the torture. She attempted suicide but in early June she was able to escape. Her father has sought help from a paralegal organization that runs a shelter for Christian women and girls. The organization has launched criminal proceedings against Adnan.

• Praise God that Muskan was able to escape her captors and find a safe place to live and legal help.

• Pray that the Lord will heal her of the physical (her arm was recently broken when Adnan beat her with the iron rod) and emotional trauma she has experienced.

• Pray that she will be protected from Adnan and others who want to get her back and that Adnan and his accomplices will be imprisoned for their crime.
