10/31/2025   (Morning Star News)

A 49-year-old blind Christian in Pakistan, Nadeem Masih has been arrested and charged with blasphemy after a Muslim accused him of insulting Islam’s prophet. The accusers often harassed Nadeen, sometimes stealing money from him and other times throwing water on him or calling him names. Some Muslim workers borrowed money from him and refused to pay it back. When Masih protested against their harassment, two men put him on a motorcycle and took him to the police station where they accused him of blasphemy. The police have beaten him and mistreated him since his arrest. Masih’s attorney said there were major discrepancies in the First Information Report  that would enable him to get bail for Nadeem.

Please pray…

  • Pray that the Lord will comfort and encourage Nadeem and his mother, who is in her 80s and very worried about her son.

  • Pray that Nadeem’s lawyer will be able to win his release on bail so he can return home.

  • Pray that the judge that handles Nadeem’s case will be an honest, conscientious man who acknowledge that the witnesses’ testimony is false, and dismisses the case.
