A pastor in Morocco is asking for prayer that local Christians in house churches will be bolder in their witness for Christ and have favor with police and other local officials. Morocco is 99.9% Muslim, and only a few churches exist for Moroccans. Those churches are mostly small, often meet secretly in homes and are composed almost entirely of members who have converted from Islam to Christianity. “The police have contacted many leaders and pastors to ask questions about church activities,” the pastor said. Most of the Moroccan population, including officials, have never interacted with Christians, particularly Moroccan Christians. “Pray for boldness and wisdom for the church during this time,” asked the pastor. “Pray that the church will remain faithful and also be open to getting know to the authorities and the people around us. We don’t want to stay hiding.”
Please pray…
Pray that Christians in house churches in Morocco will be bolder in their witness for Christ and have favor with police and other local officials.
Pray that the Christians will have boldness and wisdom as they interact with the non-Christians all around them.
Pray that Christians will remain faithful and also be open to getting know to the authorities and the people around them.
