Boukary and his family
Boukary and his family

A Christian man was disowned and forced to flee after placing his faith in Christ. Boukary’s father is a village chief, or king, as they are often called in Burkina Faso. He is also a Muslim. When Boukary started listening to an audio Bible and eventually placed his trust in Christ, his father was furious. The family considers Boukary’s conversion to have placed a huge amount of shame on them as Muslims. His father immediately took Boukary’s wife away and sent her back to her family. He then threatened to kill Boukary and declared he was no longer his son. Boukary fled to a larger city and eventually reunited with his wife, who had escaped from her Muslim family along with the couple’s children. Boukary is currently unemployed and he and his family still face danger from other family members.

Please pray…

  • Praise the Lord for reuniting Boukary with his wife and children.

  • Pray that the Lord will provide Boukary with a job so he can support his family.

  • Pray that the Lord will protect Boukary and his family from their relatives and provide them with Christian friends and fellowship.
