Afghanistan Pray for Taliban Persecutors

The Taliban government is working to eliminate all religions other than Islam. The secret police go to homes at random to look for evidence of people practicing a different faith. Christians are being detained and tortured, making them more vulnerable to revealing information about other Christians. Christians have shared that it is exhausting having to constantly look over their shoulder to see if they are being followed. Many Taliban fighters were purchased as young children from impoverished families. They were taken to Islamic training schools and brainwashed into believing their highest honor would be to die for Islam, and killing Christians is a noble task that will be rewarded in Paradise.

Please pray…

• Pray that the Taliban fighters' hearts will be softened toward the Lord.

• Pray that the Lord will appear to many of them in dreams and visions and show them He is the Messiah.

• Pray also that Christians in Afghanistan will be encouraged and strengthened in faith.
