Somalia Mother of Three Loses All Relatives for Receiving Christ

The Muslim husband of a woman in Somalia sent her back to her parents for accepting Christ – without their three young children – and then her parents drove her away for sharing the gospel with her sister. Fatuma Hussein, 30, was beaten and then ostracized by her birth family for sharing her new faith in Christ with her sister. She was saved after being delivered by the Lord from evil spirits. On March 19, she boldly shared her new faith with her husband, Ibrahim Suleiman. Angry with her for becoming a Christian, he informed her parents, and her father told Suleiman to send her back to him so that he could deal with her. She was sent to her father without her three children (7,5 and 3 years old). After she talked her sister about Jesus, her father started to beat her with sticks and threatened to kill her before chasing her out of the house with a sword. Fatuma is lonely and praying for her family and children to receive what she has received. She is trusting God to take her to a safe place where she can have freedom to worship God. “I have lost my children, but the peace of God will continue comforting my heart. I am lonely, but Jesus is with me.”
