Over a three-day period, dozens of Christians were killed by Muslim terrorists in three states. On Palm Sunday, at least 28 men, women and children were killed in Plateau state during the night by terrorists (most likely Fulani militants) on motorcycles and dozens of others were wounded. Also on Palm Sunday, at least 13 Christians were killed and dozens kidnapped at night while attending a wedding reception in Kaduna state. The attack was carried out by Fulani militants. On March 30, Boko Haram terrorists attacked a village in Chibok county in Borno state. More than ten Christian were killed in this attack, and such attacks are being killed almost every day. The government authorities seem to be doing nothing to prevent these attacks throughout the country and very little to try to apprehend those who are doing the killing. Christians in many states in northern and central Nigeria live in constant fear of these attacks. [Note: There were more Christians killed over the Easter weekend.]
Please pray…
Pray that the Lord will comfort those who have lost loved ones and heal them of the trauma they have experienced.
Pray that the Christians in Nigeria will not lose hope and that the Lord will comfort and strengthen them.
Pray that the government and security forces will do more to protect Nigeria’s Christian citizens.
Pray that the President of Nigeria and the governors of the Muslim states will be replaced by leaders who respect the rights of Christians to live in peace and worship as they please.
