Nigeria Christian Widow’s Home Burned, Crops Destroyed

A Christian widow has been unable to support herself and her children as Islamists regularly destroy her crops. Islamist terror groups regularly attack villages in central and northern parts of the country, and attacks against Christian communities are especially violent, leaving behind many widows. Victoria Luka, a mother of five, lost her husband to an attack on Sept. 17, 2018. Their village was destroyed and their house burnt to the ground. Victoria was able to escape to a neighboring village with her children. Victoria is a farmer, but she has been unable to sell her produce because Islamists continue to destroy her crops, and she is unable to farm elsewhere because she cannot buy fertilizer or seeds.
