On Oct. 10, Chinese authorities detained Pastor Mingri Jin and 30 other congregation leaders of Zion Church, one of the largest underground churches in China. The United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has condemned the Chinese Communist Part (CCP) for its utter contempt for religious freedom. Xi Jinping and the CCP require the complete subordination of religious groups to the CCP’s agenda and Marxist vision of religion. Non-CCP-backed religious activities are criminal, and this has caused the rise in arrests and persecution in China. Even American political leaders are also speaking out against this persecution of Christians. In its 2025 Annual Report, USCIRF recommended that the U.S. Department of State continue to designate China as a Country of Particular Concern (CPC), as they have engaged in systematic, ongoing, and egregious violations of religious freedom. Another pastor, Chang Shun, and his wife have been harassed regularly by government authorities since June of this year.
Please pray…
Pray that that the Lord will strengthen and encourage the Christians that are being persecuted by the CCP, and Pastor Jin, Pastor Shun, and their church members and family members in particular.
Pray that international pressure will help to reduce the persecution.
Pray that the Church in China will grow and flourish despite the persecution.
