Uganda Muslim Father Attempts to Burn Christian Daughters Alive

At around midnight on Sept. 6, Amina and Shamila were inside their home when their house was set on fire. Their father, Muhamud, had doused the house with petrol, then set it alight while the girls slept inside. He had told them he would act to fulfill Islamic law since they had rejected Islam when they converted to Christianity on Aug. 26. The girls were able to remove some bricks from the wall and escape the house. They lost all their material possession in the fire, however. After the fire, Amina said her and her sister’s faith have grown stronger. “We are happy to say that the fire consumed our shelter but did not consume our faith and hope in Jesus Christ,” she said.

Praise God that Amina and Shamila were able to escape the fire without any injuries at all.
Praise God for their faith, and that they have not lost their hope in Christ.
Pray that the Lord will provide for their material needs.
Pray that the Lord will touch their father’s heart and draw him to repentance and faith in Jesus.
